    Wireless Technology

ACI - Wireless Sensors and Systems

ACI’s wireless product line is based on a 900 MHz Spread Spectrum Mesh Network Technology and it provides the HVAC Industry a much needed option for a proven, reliable, and cost effective solution. They can easily integrate with any Building Automation System. In addition, a wireless signal router may be used to setup your wireless mesh network to improve reliability and signal transmission distance.

    BAPI - Wireless Technology

The BAPI Wireless Temperature or Temp./Humidity Combination system incorporates a 418 MHz transmitter along with a Receiver and one or more Analog Output Modules to send zone temperature and humidity to the DDC controller.

The wireless transmitter has an in-building range of 100 feet, extendable to the 1,000 feet with a Repeater. The transmitter has an estimated battery life of 8 years with a transmit rate of approximately once every 10 seconds.

    Funtional Devices - Wireless Technology

    Short Range Wireless Devices
    • EnOcean® enabled wireless relay receivers work in conjunction with many switching devices that are EnOcean® enabled with 315 MHz transmitters.
    • Wireless wall switches, occupancy sensors, thermostats, key card switches, patio door switches, and one-way controller transmitters are all devices which can activate the RIB® wireless control relays by using EnOcean’s® “energy harvesting” technology. Energy harvesting refers to the process by which energy is captured and stored, then used to transmit a wireless signal, which in turn is received by the RIB® wireless relay.

    Long Range Wireless Devices
    • The wireless products manufactured by Functional Devices using AIC Wireless® components are readily available for any building automation, control or monitoring application. The devices are a reliable, low-cost method to extend your network. These devices serve as an alternative to long runs of communications to previously unreachable locations, due to the lack of existing communications architecture. Functional Devices models are shipped ready to install, with a true plug-and-play set-up requiring no special programming or commissioning tools.
    • With applications deployed within a few hundred feet to over 6 miles, Functional Devices long-range wireless products have the solution to any controls or monitoring project.

VICONICS - The Wireless HVAC Building Network Solution

Viconics has specifically designed a simple yet powerful wireless solution which targets such retrofit installations where running new communication wiring is cost prohibitive. Viconics communicating wireless temperature controllers will dramatically reduce project installation costs by re-using the existing control wiring already in place between older electronic thermostats and the terminal equipment. No new network wires are required since the controllers rely on a fully integrated ZigBee® wireless mesh network infrastructure. Both sensor and controller are integrated into one device. Batteries are not required and will never need to be serviced or replaced.

The controllers are also available with an integrated passive infrared motion sensor (PIR) which together with advanced demand based occupancy strategies further optimizes the controller. This provides additional energy savings to unoccupied zones during scheduled occupancy periods. This new solution opens up exciting new opportunities, which until now had no viable return on investment.
